Here are some of my work from my years in UofT for fine arts... I had a theme that year with cutting paper as my main medium.

Finally having time to breathe~

Finally we finished the final stretch of our first semester. Most of us complain about lacking sleep, and having a stressful time.... and now ITS DONE!!! Time flew by if you think about it. It was a lot of work, but I personally enjoyed all the quality time I spent with my buddies and artworks.

I'm happy to say, everyone improved tremendously, and most still rage with motivation to improve even more. This makes me very excited to see whats going to happen next semester. Cheers to everyone!! =) Lets continue kicking ass

Frost Queen

Trying out digital painting, and I think its something worth improving on. This is for the mini competition my friend is holding, and the theme for this week is "Frost Queen." Hopefully this will make update this blog with a new artwork every week. Cheers! Happy holidays =)

Royal Winter Fair

I won't blame the animals for moving around.. I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRAW ANIMALS.(30sec - 5min studies... and a bit more)

We smelled like a farm after 9 hours of drawing in the farm convention... and we ironically went for a meat galore at Korean BBQ restaurant after drawing these cute farm animals. I'm also vegetarian!! How funny is that?! I had my vege-bibimbap. By the end of the night, with the combination of farm smell and Korean BBQ smell, my friend said we smelt like Chinese food... It was a fun day :D

Moooore Paintings!!

I'm starting to enjoy painting with gouache. Hopefully I could apply this to my crappy digital painting skills D: . We shall see if there's gonna be progress!! The one of the top is our cloud painting project. The bottom is an imaginary ball with imaginary light source ...oooooo Spooky

A little update.. This is our first "Creative" freelance painting project. This medium is new to me, but I hope I'll get better at it! The scene I painted is questionable. Originally, I wanted to paint an underwater theme, but it ended up looking like a rocky dry place. Goal of the Year: Paint faster, better, MEANER

For Grummy, I've tried combining characteristics of some of my favourite villains, Squidwords and Yzma. They're both creepy looking, and their personalities are unique!

I GOT IN!!!

So the first year I've tried, it didn't work out for me. This is my second time trying, and I GOT ACCEPTED to animation AND illustration! It was pretty hard to choose between the 2 programs, but I saw the flexibility of animation and how its more new to me. Super excited!!! That lady who was looking down on my abilities could kiss my accepted-Asian ass!!!

Hope this year's portfolio could help the new applicants. Don't give up guys! Let your creativity inspire yourself and others =)
