After my first semester, I've noticed some several changes in my life style. Having numerous amount of homework seems normal to me now, and having free time makes time pass by slower. Personally, I have nothing to complain about this program. The people are great, the teachers are approachable, and the all-nighters are plentiful. The progress of improvement is encouraging too.
Animation classes are teaching us how to rotate heads, and teaching us how to draw a proper walk cycle. Who would've known a walk is so complicated. Very technical stuff, so its pretty boring....but its very important to learn =P
Layout and Painting are by far my favourite courses since I understand it's content. Creating imaginative environments and experimenting with different colour theories makes it very refreshing.
Life drawing is always fun. Mark Thurman is a pretty cool guy, and he is SO interesting. He knows how to teach, and it's guaranteed that you'll see some kind of improvement in your life drawings.
Other courses are ....alright. Nothing too exciting at the moment, because they're drilling our thinking process about cinematography.
I'm not much of a writer, but if I were to talk about the program, I would go endless. I am very excited for the years to come, and I can't wait to see where my friends and I are going to end up. Cheers!!
